About FaxFair
FaxFair sends faxes to the US and Canada, from this website or from an iPhone app, and you pay for the fax you send rather than a subscription. The site also has free fax cover sheets and guides to faxing today.
Faxing from this website
You upload PDFs or photos, type the fax number and pay $2.49 for up to 40 pages, or $6.99 for 41 to 100, with no account. We only charge your card when the fax is delivered, so a fax that fails costs you nothing.
The iPhone app
The app scans paper with your camera. Your first fax is free, up to 40 pages, once per iPhone. After that you buy faxes in the app, 1 for $2.49, 3 for $5.99 or 10 for $14.99, and they don't expire. One fax covers up to 40 pages, including the free cover page, and if a fax fails, you get the fax back.
To receive faxes, you choose a US fax number for 7 days ($4.99), 30 days ($9.99) or 1 year ($59.99), and it doesn't renew. The app has no account either.
Wherever you send from, we delete your document from our servers once the fax is delivered or fails. The privacy policy lists everything we keep and for how long.
How we make our guides
Every fact, date and price in a guide comes from a page we read while writing it, and each guide lists those sources at the end. We prefer primary sources, such as the agency, the standards body, the museum that holds the object or the company describing its own product. Prices change, so each one says when we checked it.
When we use something we measured ourselves, we say so and give the date. When a free option would suit you better, like a free fax website or a library, the guide says so, even though it competes with us.
We draft guides with AI tools. A separate review checks each claim against its source, and Nico Santos, who makes FaxFair, approves every guide before it goes live. Each guide shows when it was published and when it last changed.
How we make the cover sheet templates
Every design is drawn for fax, in black and white with clear type, so it stays readable after it is scanned and sent. The one gray stripe, on the Retro design, has no text in it. The PDF, the Word file and the online maker come from the same layouts, and the maker runs in your browser without sending anything you type to us.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, email support@faxfair.com with the page and what's wrong. We check it against the source and fix the page if we got it wrong.
